$10,000 China Bike

Hot off the press. CF Moto will offer their $10k, KTM licensed, Sport Adventure bike in the US. 95 hp.
I hope it is a success. 10k is a lot of money.

CF Moto you got to be kidding, had a their utv and had nothing but trouble. Would not even sell it to anyone junk. Still setting on the hill behind my barn, just could not sell it , would give to somebody for free. Total junk stay away. Worst buy ever.

For that kind of money you might as well get a Japanese bike with a broad dealer network.

That's interesting. Many of my friends own UTVs, mostly Polaris but a few CF Moto. The CF Motos have been reliable while the Polaris's have not.

Just read the review. It's a pretty cool bike. Basically, a KTM with a few different parts. But, I guess you also have to expect KTM reliability (Keep Throwing Money). lol.

That price, it's not bad. Would be more enticing if it came with the luggage on it.

My only gripe is that they put the quick shifter on the terrain instead of the street. That seems backwards. I see some questionable decisions happening with these bikes.

I don't get why people would spend this much rather than shop the used market for a more brand-reliable used bike. I don't trust chinese quality THAT much.

Adventure Sport category is road bikes charading as dual sport!!

I owned a Suzuki DL 1000, so I can't claim I wasn't stupid enough buy an adventure tour bike Sure, it is a NICE engine on the road, but with a frame design lacking in road performance. At the same time the bikes are heavy, and this is a major liability when the road turns loose or muddy

Hard pack, fine, but that's about it. Fall over on the trail, and you may have to wait for help picking it back up!

The DL650 was a better idea, but the OEM tires are road tires. Don't let anyone fool you! This new CF Moto is a heavy road bike, and expensive too!

The expensive CF Moto is targeting potential KTM buyers. They don't expect to attract typical Hawk or RX4 buyers.
I think the price is too high too. The KTM Duke 890 lists for under 13 grand. I don't think a 30% difference in price is enough.

The Duke 890 is a Road bike, not an adventure tour bike! Road tires, 100%
Looks fun, but 100% road bike.

Without fuel, KTM claims the 890 Adventure R weighs in at 432 pounds

You want to try to pick that up on the "trail"

Be careful on those logging roads

Has anyone bought a bike direct from alibaba? Their web site shows dirt cheap bikes. Just checking as my grandson is just about at that age. X-pect still trouble free @500mi.

You should start your own thread for this question, as it has nothing to do with this thread.

I've picked up my tiger a few times, not hard if you do it right but not something you want to make a habit of.

the cfmoto and ktm should be pretty close in reliability lol. it's overpriced for sure, but it should be a decent bike. It's not up to spec with the same class adv bikes but it's at least $3k cheaper. We had a cfmoto sxs for a few years and didn't have any issues with it, less than I've had with my can-am.
