Amazing that all happened in a month. Going to miss Barnone hanging around here, and I'm going to miss his DF bobber.

Well I am back, just can't keep away.
Sold my China bikes several years ago to go off on another tangent.

Bought another Dong Fang DF250RTB-A, this time a 2012 which is similar to the other one but the tank issue is fixed along with other improvements. Still needs more motor.
I've had my Ural sidecar rig for about a year and so far a lot of fun.
On my third W650 that hopefully I will keep,.

Awesome looking collection and welcome back!

There is an article in Ride Apart.com this week on riding the Ural sidehack. Some great pictures in there.

I also encourage you to check out Sam's recent threads on a bad accident he had with his Ural. Perhaps there is some information there that may help your safety.

Is that Dong Fang spa a Photoshop or did you really chance upon such a place?

Regarding the W650 I love it.

Lately I have had a terrible desire for the new Enfields.

FastDoc,
Thanks for welcome back.
The Dong Fang Spa is real and located in Fort Myers,FL where I spend the winter.
I tried to explain that the bike was called Dong Fang but all she could say in English was "you want massage". I passed on the offer.

I'll look for the Ural accident thread.

Yep, I am always looking at the RE but luckily the dealer here went out of business.

That is Jim Tom Hetrick of the Moonshiner series on the Discovery channel on my DF with my trailer. That is a still he made and his liquor scooter (DUI) in the background.

X2! What was the problem with the original tank?

I'd love to get ahold of a W650.

The tank on my first DF (a 2010 model) was prone to leaking where the hold down studs were tack welded underneath the tank. I got a new tank under warranty and reinforced the mountings before putting gas in it. That photo with the beautiful young lady in it is the 2010 model DF. Maybe tomorrow I will take a ride to the beach and try and find her or a substitute.

My new DF (a 2012 model) has a much better designed tank and mounting system. That is it in the second photo in front of Hunting Boy's out side of Robbinsville,NC.

Definitely a nicer looking tank; more Sportster-like.

Thanks for bringing the lovely young lady back to the surface.

Those of us who belong to here and mychinamoto have been following your exploits for a few months. I find the thread so out of place on mychinamoto where the strong majority of members are ex-patriates of North America and Europe
living and working in China, or more recently, quite a few British riders blogging about the numerous bikes they have available in the UK. Funnier still, it has the most pages and most views of any thread! And that is pretty much one of the only threads where you see US based riders, LOL.

He should look into Ice Bear Z50 and CT 70 clones. They have a 110cc Z50 clone with a side car, stock. He could make home deliveries with the side car rig, LOLA

Jim Tom told me he signed a deal with a legal moonshine distillery in Gatlinburg TN to use his name for $300,000 so he will be in the chips.

Legal moonshine has made it all the way to BC, but it's only 100 proof. It even comes in a Mason jar. http://www.bcliquorstores.com/product/355123
