Boom BD125-8 aftermarket exhaust

Hello, first post!

I have a Boom BD125-8 and bought a Grom aftermarket exhaust. Well, the exhaust port on my BD125-8 does not point straight down so the exhaust hits the rear frame before it can fully engage. I want to get something that works. The stock exhaust has restrictive bend and it's heavy.

Here is the exhaust.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My engine is an BD1P54FMI.

This is a common issue with AR exhausts on Vaders and Booms , due to the reason you mentioned. The solution at this point seems to be take the bike and pipe to a Shop, or mark the pipe so you know how it needs to be, to a Welding shop and have it heated with an acetylene torch so you can bend it down enough to clear .That , or find some pipe the same size and have a Welding or Muffler shop weld in a one and a half inch section about 1/2" to 1" behind the flange ,this will lower it far enough to clear the frame when you tighten it down. Maybe a home propane torch would get it hot enough to bend ,but I can not confirm that .

There is an exhaust that will bolt right on to a Boom ,but I do not know the source for it ,you can see it in this thread here http://chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=21078 maybe message Imapdog and see if he will give you the part number and what Dealer he gets them from .

Here is a link to that side out exhaust http://wholesale-cycle.com/muffler-m...e-out-muffler/ , that looks exactly like what Imapdog is using on his Vaders, he might have a supplier that has a better price, or you can try Amazon or Ebay .

that is the only one that will go right on and won't need any modification that I know of

on the Boom or Vader . Good luck and let us know what you decide to do and how it turns out ! ,and welcome to Chinariders.net by the way !

One final post- here is a link to what you need , it is a spacer that will fix you right up,took a while for my poor brain to dredge up where i saw it at http://shop.pitsterpro.com/nccpipeadapter.aspx This spacer will make the AR exhaust clear just fine ,there is a video on YouTube where a guy used one to make his fit , worked like a charm.

Search for Honda dax or Honda Monkey exhaust. Any of the underexhausts (not the ones that turn up and go on the side) will bolt up.

The one I have is a direct bolt on with no modifications or adapters needed.

If you want one that works for sure...

Head over to Motorkit and pick up the Kepspeed loop exhaust. It's the one that most people use when they swap the ZS190 engine in.

On a scale of 1-10 how obnoxious is that exhaust?

The Aodonly Racing one I have is the same as the one DeadSmiley has, with the exception that mine has a blue canister ,both of them are pretty damn loud, I'd say easily 8 out of 10 ,so if you don't want a loud exhaust, don't get one lol .They both use that NCC adapter to fit on Vader or Boom .
The little short exhaust that Imapdog uses is actually quieter than the AR one, which is surprising considering it's design and how short it is, but apparently it has a very good muffler core in it , I'd rate it a 6-7 out of 10 .
Me myself, I like loud pipes so I went with the AR ,and i needed low mount rather than high bc i plan to stunt my Vader and the high exit exhausts like where the stock ones are get in the way of your 12 0'clock bar pegs.

Going to order it and try it out.

Hey Zx250r - I don't know if that exhaust will fit or not ,but the canister design /color is known as the "Titanium" look .there is a front fork wrap that matches it on Ebay ,i think it would look sweet paired with that exhaust if it turns out it fits. Here is a link to the titanium Fork Wrap for Grom & Clones https://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-Grom-...19.m1438.l2649

I might get that wrap since the center section is blue and would match my color scheme, and would look better than my plain jane black painted forks the Vader comes with standard, and it's a wrap so if i don't like it I can just take it off .

Only way to know for sure is to order it and throw it on. No telling the dimensions with these no name brands. I thought mine didn't fit properly at first but turns out I had the "mid pipe" section reversed.

Going with the Kepspeed, there's tons of people/photos of it working... so that's probably the only guaranteed way. If you want to see mine, my "build thread" has photos of the exhaust mounted.
