The wheeler dealer! Congrats!! and smart to wait to ride it. I have always wanted a GSXR 750, but would take the 600, or the 1000 if I had to Plastics for these cost far more than a couple of your Lifans cost, so ride the heck out of the 150 to get good at it. With the 150, I can see why you were hesitant to think you needed a course, but now, 600cc's of racing heritage--take it, but you already knew that

I have always liked Suzukis, although the deal that came up last month found me commuting on a Honda. Stickers aren't my thing, but I'm pushing 40 this August. I don't think that I would wear the helmet, but again, it's my age...I don't want to look like I am having a mid-life crisis, whether or not I am .

I take it the Samurai is out, or do you have more things to trade? 8)

For the record..."tricked out" and "modded" usually decreases resale value. It does NOT add value to most bikes.

Really nice bike there.

Far from a good choice to learn on (IMO), so please be careful. I put 12k on my 250 last year and still have much to learn. Don't lose respect for the bike, or it will bite you in the ass in a hurry.

I'm sure the mohawk will be easy to remove. I don't think I'd keep it or the stickers either, but then I'm not far behind culcune, hitting 40 next December.

And don't forget...ATG includes boots, gloves and real riding pants. Jeans don't cut the mustard.
(Not aimed at you specifically, as I don't know what your gear includes, but for anyone who might read this thread)

I moved this since it isn't about a Chinese bike.

About pants, check out draggin jeans, they look interesting, they're jeans, but they're lined with kevlar... A little pricey for me mind you, but I thought they looked kind of neat.

There's always at least one exception to the rule. :P

That's a nice looking horse!

Just as a word of advice-- Pull the sticks and paint it.

As the owner of several sportbikes previously, "Customized" s/bikes and Helmets are usually known to the local police. You want them to remember *you* not the Previous owner, if you know what I mean?

and jeans are cool.

In order to not Jack Dude's thread, I started a fresh one under Miscellaneous.

Seriously though, paint the bike. (Besides the "shocker" sticker is just bad taste! )

My appologies to the OP. I didn't mean to jack the thread.
Please see the new thread.

Now, carry on the discussion of this bike...

I entertained the notion of a FZR1000 for a few hours. Had it been a 600 or maybe even a 750 I might have went for the deal.

Eagle, thanks for the link. If I look around here in Yuma, there are always military guys selling their bikes for good deals, too. However, I prefer the enduro/motard bikes, so one of those will be first before any GSXR.

For my next bike, I am considering the Pitster Pro XTR 250 enduro, but the manufacturer of this bike, Galaxy of China, is supposed to release their own version in the US (should be lower priced), or the Qlink XF200 motard (I don't like the look of the Qlink enduro or the Pitster Pro motard--go figure!). I will probably sell the Honda.
