So, I pit the plate on it, go to start it and nothing. Cranks no fire. Pulled the plug wire and have good spark. Pull the return line... no fuel with the pump running. AFTER ALL THIS THE PUMP DIED!!! I have not touched it in weeks, and it worked great when I parked it. I am only mostly disappointed right now.

I messaged the seller of the kit and am awaiting a response. They want $80 plus shipping for a new one

That sucks. That's not the report we wanted to hear. Check on ebay, you might find a replacement.

that would be interesting. All I know is the Vader tank is pretty damn small. It's kinda silly. The SSR Icebear's is almost twice as large.

So I just overnighted a pump and regulator. I ordered an inline pump for a Moto Guzzi, and a universal adjustable pressure regulator. I WILL ride my bike this weekend damnit!!

That looks like a more reliable pump too What PSI are you running? 40-45 psi?

The pump included with the MotoEFI kit runs 300kpa, or 43.5psi. I plan on leaving the vacuum reference port on the regulator open to run a steady 43.5psi as the included pump would do.

And I agree, this pump looks much more robust, and also they are readily available in the US. Guess I found one weak point of the kit... hopefully it is the only one!

Lucas...sweet

So you diagnosed/verified with the presence of voltage at the pump but no go I suppose? You gotta love those victories.

Correct. You can hear the pump run, it just produces no fuel pressure.

Hello to everybody

I also only joined this forum because of this thread.
I´m from Germany, please sorry for my bad english.

Is here anyone who use the MSI on a GY-6 engine?

@ Lucas@Air_Lift
1. Give your pump enough time to suck petrol without air.
2. on the pressure side use the pump for a few seconds without the injektor
3. or use the Test Mode in EFI-Tune.

I prefer 2.
I had the same probs.

I'm going to install it on a GY6, maybe two. One is a 72cc GY6 the other is a 125cc GY6.

I also purchased the other kit from the same seller, the one that has what looks like a solenoid type injector. I ordered this one without the ECU because the ECU is not tune-able. I plan to use a Speeduino ECU if possible.

Other EFI kit
