Shift lever recommendation for the Hawk

Was out tooling around the FS roads today and played the bike down in a muddy rut. Ended up folding the tip of the shift lever back to the foot peg. I straitened it out to make it usable for the ride home but it definitely needs to be replaced.
I’ve already started looking online but any suggestions and recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

The MSR Steel Shifter for the XR400 tends to be the most popular one. Part number is 070709. Or the Aluminum version if that tickles your fancy.

You could also go for the Tusk unit for the same bike.

In either case, they have the bolt go in from the bottom, which is rather handy. Otherwise, shifters like my steel IMS unit also work, but since the bolt comes in from the top, it requires either a small headed allen bolt, or to grind down the hex head a little bit in order to even install it with the sprocket cover installed.

Thanks Dan, looks like the msr shifter is out of stock in a lot of places so I’m going with the IMS. Time to return the stock unit to like new condition until the new shifter arrives.

I used the IMS shifter for a Honda crf230f, so there's another option, but you'll still need that allen head bolt to clear the cover as Megadan says. I'm happy with mine.

Well that sucks. Pretty much most 11mm Honda shifters will work on the Hawk, so if the IMS doesnt float your boat, there are a bunch of other models that can be used.
