GiO Rebel T3 Mods

Just finished a few new mods on the T3:

Performance CDI, Uni filter, and Mikuni carb rejetted to 110 main & 25 pilot (thanks waynev).

Handlebar RAM mount for the Garmin Oregon and el-cheapo tach/hour meter from eBay.

Performance Shocks and LED high beam. I've ordered up the low beams but they haven't arrived.

I wish we had decent light housings to work with on our Beasts. Instead, I plan to install tractor style lights from Princess Auto, because they use a low wattage bulb, they're encased in rubber, they have a stud mount and they look kinda cool. They're similar to Baja style lights that you'd see on a rollbar. Not bad for $6.00.

Excellent work durango360. Your quad looks great.

I used the K&N filter oil and its red so it looks like it hasn't been oiled.

I did muddy it up pretty good a few times but I've washed it up shortly afterward...damn obsessive-compulsive disorder

Very good then, i take it that you used the stuff for foam filters?, as the regular stuff is for fabric filters and will not help on the foam type filters.

Oops, I guess not...never read the spray can. It was leftover from a pleated fabric filter that I had on my last vehicle. Thanks for picking that up.

I did work the oil into the foam pretty well but after a bit of research, I now see that it's thinner and will eventually work its way down to the bottom of the filter.

It's a PITA, but the oil for foam filers is thick and sticky as hell, but hey that's what makes it keep the dirt out, i usually pour some of the oil in to a bag and then squish the filter around the get it all covered, then i wear latex gloves when i have to handle it after that, also remember to do both layers of your UNI filter.

I had that blue sticky crap everywhere when I did mine for the YZ.

W&G has this slick stuff in a can that sprays out and makes it less messy. I've yet to find it in the store myself though.

The Bel-Ray stuff ?, that's what i use too, i see Amsoil has some in a spray can too, i'm pretty W&G was using the Maxima spray oil.
