Fuel Petcock Question

I sold my Enforcer and bought an '04 Suzuki GS500F. Love it. I don't miss my Enforcer one bit, but I do miss this forum. People on here are very helpful and quick to respond.

I have a question about the fuel petcock on the GS500.

What should I set the fuel petcock to when the bike is parked in my garage? I see 3 settings, Res (reserve), Pri (no idea what this is, prime?), and On (this one is obvious).

What does Pri stand for? And, is that the setting I should put the petcock on when the bike is parked?

Pics of my new bike:

I like the new bike. PRI stands for prime. Prime is used to fill the bowl, bypassing the vacuum system and shouldn't be used during normal operation. So leave it in the on position.

I've been starting it with the petcock in the ON position. Is it supposed to be on prime? When is the prime position supposed to be used?

It should be in the on position. You only use the pri position if you need to prime the fuel system say like after changing a fuel filter or any fuel system maintenance. Your fuel system is a closed system because of the epa bs. When your ignition is off there is a vacuum operated valve that shut the fuel off. So no need to shut the fuel off with the petcock like on our hawk or like on the Enforcer you had.
