I checked my plug and she was running too rich so I lowered the main to 125 from 127.5 (stock 122.5) and the pilot to stock at 32.5 from 35. Took a test run and still ran an indicated 75+MPH at 8k RPM so I'm probably set for a while.

She sure sounds good with the stock muffler.

It sounds like you found the sweet spot for that intake and exhaust combo.

So the only net mod is the jetting change? Everything else is stock? Very interesting. Please remind me of what you did with the needle.

With my big knobbies and larger wind resistance/rolling resistance (futile? ) I know I would not be able to run that fast but in a tuck, on level ground, at 750 feet-1,500 feet (as low as it gets around here where I ride) the best I can expect is 60-65. I weigh 175. With jacket helmet boots etc maybe 185.

FastDoc,
Yep, the change from stock now is the main jet from 122.5 to 125. The only other non stock change is the removal of the Secondary Air Injection but that should not make any difference in performance.

Never touched the needle.

My Q will now stay in the mountains of North Carolina where she is more suited for the two lane curvy roads.

My SYM HD200 scooter is a better ride here in flat, no curves Florida where there is a lot of stop and go traffic.

For fun you may want a REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT streamer. they come in many sizes.

The mirror looks great, but I would want two. I'd think you'd have to amputate the end of the throttle sleeve in addition to the grip to fit it, however.
Doc I'm quoting you on your thought of the throttle side that I pm'd you about! See there's some funny thing going on the throttle side. I'm going to have to see what it is going to take to be able to add Bar ends mirrors to both sides and or simple bar ends.....Hmmmmmm Hacksaw Andrew! JK
