Loose shifter......

Close to 4,000 miles and doing some chain maintenance and noticed the loose shifter. Snugged the bolt that pinches it on the shaft and is all good now. Still on stock chain wondering what mileage you are getting out of them.

Most stock RX3 chains are done by 5000-6000 miles, so it would be a good idea to get a new one lined up. I pulled my OEM chain at 600 miles, since it is a known deficiency on the RX3, one that I didn't want to deal with along side the road somewhere. I installed an EK SR06 in its place, using a riveted master link; that chain is still going strong at 17,000 miles.

Thanks. I just looked in my box of extra parts the previous owner gave me and it has the EK SRO6 chain brand new in the box.

Sprockets should be done too. Even if they look OK, my experience has been that the next chain will wear faster if you don't do sprockets. I've wasted more money this way than by doing it right.

I hope I don't have to change sprockets at 5-6,000 miles.... Guess we will have a look then.

You don't HAVE to. I'm just telling you that every time I've kept them, I end up with less chain life. BUT...never changed the chain on the RX3, it arrived with a new one, and I sold it with the same one.
