New Here

hey guys I'm from the Seattle Washington area.. I got my hands on a screaming deal... I THINK... its a Zongshen Sierra 200cc what is the chassis name you guys refer this bike to? The guy is asking 991 cash for it. Brand new in the crate its orange in color... only catch is that there is no warranty he can offer on the bike... he is a company but offers no type of warranty... any pointers guys?

some offer a full yr engine warranty and 30 to 90 day electric ,tire and such,

is he a dealer, could be last years model, the warranty starts as soon as the dealer buys it ,not the customer, bummer.?

but still there are alot of websites with parts for these things at an affordable price

sounds like a good deal for the $$$$

That sounds like a pretty good deal. Can he guarantee that you will be able to register it?

That bike is okay. It is an older model lke a 2006. It also has a yamaha based engine that will most likely accept yamaha parts.

yea seems like a good deal... what is the average price for these bikes? Also who do I contact for hop-ups for this bike? I use to have a yamaha TTR-230 a few years back will the be the same?? As far as out of the box do these have any issues I should be aware of? Mostly engine and transmission is what I'm worried about.

The engines are usually the good points of these bikes. Its the rest of the bike that needs attention.

The ttr230 has some relation, but the xt225 and tw225 are closer related.

Welcome fellow newbie! Just got the same bike myself. Love it! It is a 2006. I would invest in a bottle of locktite and go over every nut and bolt. That's what i did. Another thing is find out about MSO before buying if you want it for street use. Price is good, how 'bout shipping?

Very good deal, But check it for damage first..Another member got a deal on one and the frame was tweaked beyond repair....But the price is right. I think they go for 1500 to 1600 normally.
