I never thought of that. I remember a forum member transplanting a TW rear end and countershaft onto his Zong, but that's a five speed. I wonder if I could tool a longer countershaft for the XT225. Hmmm...

That's a fair deal the way things are priced nowadays. Too bad a guy would first need to invest in Spudwheels to really D/S it though.

Yeah, I suppose it's fair, but I can't help but think it's twice what Spud paid.

You can buy a lot of slightly used, Japanese bikes for $2,000. I bought my 2005, Honda XR650L with 7,800 miles on the odometer for $2,000.

That's exactly right, Doc. A custom, 18-inch rear wheel usually ends up costing about $250, including shipping. Add $250 to $1,800, and you are over your self-imposed, $2,000 limit for a new, Chinese motorcycle.

MotorStar

I believe the bike I have is manufactured by the same company, if not someone copied someone. I have a MSX200GY-7 Motorstar here in the Philippines and have been looking to get a bigger sprocket for on the rear for better off road rides. I talked to the sales person and mechanic at the place I bought it and the mechanic called another store and they told him a certain Honda sprocket would fit it so he is suppose to try and match it up . The sprocket in your post on this looks just like mine so I am going to let them look at this post of yours before destroying anything to make it work. I would like to go 52T at least .
