Another new member

I ordered a Hawk 250 yesterday and I'm still getting the hang of this forum.

My first dual sport bike was a 1981 Honda XL 185S that I got brand new when I was 14 to get to school. It was called a dual purpose bike and had claw action tires.

welcome to the asylum you chose a great bang for buck bike! read up on how to set it up, change out the almost oil it comes with and points to grease before it arrives then prepare for a world of fun. most things are known about this bike already so search the board and have a great time w your new ride. What color did you get?

Welcome!

Your new Hawk will remind you of your old 185; even the frame is virtually identical, despite the monoshock rear.

I'd love to get a hold of an old XL185.

I bought a red one and it shipped in time to spend the weekend in Dallas.

I still own a 1980 Kawasaki KX 125 and I have pictures of it on bikepics. I just look at now.

The bike is on its way to Kansas City, KS but I can't post the email or a copy. That shipping company is strict.
