so the fact that i have mine on the lowest notch with a washer under it probably means im too rich? haha

I think that says you probably want to consider going up a size or two on the main jet.

Jet sizes: 110 main, stock pilot

Needle setting: 2 shims

Pilot screw turns: 2.25

Relevant mods: Air box mod, foam filter element, eBay exhaust, 17t front, 47t rear, shinko 705'

Top speed: 67(gps) flat out, can cruise at 60 now

Bike: 2017 Hawk

Elevation: 1100ft

Carb: Mikuni VM26 "30mm" Clone

Jet sizes: Genuine Mikuni Jets - 27.5 Pilot. 117.5 Main, factory needle and needle jet.

Needle setting: 4th notch down from the top. (center also works, but I chose the "fatter" option)

Pilot screw turns: 1 1/4 (still needs a little fine tuning but close)

Relevant mods: Sprockets - 17 front, 43 rear. Uni pod filter, Ebay exhaust. Denso iridium plug, NGK XD05F plug cap with resistor removed and shortened plug wire.

Top speed: 70mph GPS on flat ground wth no wind.

Rotella T6. Valve cover oil cooler from mjstef.
JT non o-ring chain. 17/40 gearing. shinko 705 (rear) Top speed:75 mph, (gps)

20 pilot
2 turns out
needle set on fattest setting.
Stock Air box
Stock exhaust
63 mph top speed
15 front
50 rear
set both intake and Exhaust to 0.05 mm

matt's digital cluster
MSR shifter
burrito tube

Hawk starts right up and there is no flat spot in the RPM range. Really happy with this set up.

Jet sizes: Slow 35, Main 120

Needle setting: Clip last notch down.

Pilot screw turns: 1 3/4

Relevant mods: Ebay CRF230 Exhaust, After market needle, Uni Pod filter.

Top speed: 70MPH (GPS) Top speed. Likes to cruise around 55-60

Sprockets: 17T front, and 45T Rear.

Needle setting: middle notch

Pilot screw turns: 1 1/2

Relevant mods: Sprockets - 17 front, 47 rear. Battlax BT45 tires. Motocheez airbox mod. PCV installed in crankcase breather tube. Front fork brace to help with front end speed wobbles.

Top speed: 68mph flat out (no wind, flat road)
