I'm Tom from Arizona. I just purchased a 2006 Jialing 200cc dual sport with a little under 2000 miles. Only have a bill of sale so far. He's ordered a new title but is not sure how long it will take to get here. I've withheld some money until I get it. I did a free title search that confirmed it was a Montana registered motorcyle and was a Jialing. His owners manual says HiSun.

The engine shows JL 163FML. The guy I bought it from says a mechanic told him it threw a push rod but was repairable. The bike needs lots of TLC so I'm sure I will have lots of questions!

Any help regarding what engine I have would be appreciated.

If it's got push rods and it's labeled 163FML then it's a safe bet the engine is a standard CG200. Some manufacturers build them with subtle differences but they're all more or less the same.

Thanks Mudlap for the reply. It looks like it was built during a period when HiSun and Jialing did a joint venture on motorcycles (Venture formed in 2003). The title search, based on the VIN# came back as Jialing but the manual says HiSun and I see where the manual covers a 200GY. Is that the same as a CG

Added: To make things more confusing, the engine says VIVA on both sides!

CG just a term for those machine inspired by cg125 (ie. pushrod)
some Jialing CG's stator resembles Honda's which looked as a equilateral triangle

I believe GY indicates an enduro type bike. My 07 Lifan is a GY200 also.

Mudflap - Thanks for the link to that information. I've got tons to learn before I tear into this bike - especially where to purchase parts! For example, besides the push rod issue, I noticed its intake manifold seemed to be made of rubber or something, and it's cracked so it had to be sucking air. The throttle cable is also frozen and a few other oddities that I'll take photos of and post them for advice.

I hope it doesn't take too long for the guy to get a copy of the Montana title so I can take it to an Arizona DMV and make it all official. The bill of sale is good, but I'll need more than that to avoid the bonded title process.

In the meantime, it seems that if several companies manufactured their own versions of the CG200 engine it must be difficult to find the correct parts.

culcune - I live in Mesa. I grew up in the East Valley. I started riding mini bikes and go carts when I was 10 years old. By the time I was 12 I had a Suzuki TS125. By 16 I rode a Kawasaki 500, then a Honda 350, and later a Suzuki GS650. Back in my younger days (with the Suzuki 125) I was surrounded by open desert. I just walked outside, kicked the bike over and rode for as long as I had gasoline. That area is now heavily developed but it sure was fun back in the day.

I haven't ridden in about 10 years, so I am just getting back into it.

Dual-sport / Enduro / Trials... can called as GY cuz they had on/off ability according to the doc!!!
