All that is left to do is put the footwell back on and get it bolted down. One of the nuts that hold the bottom of the footwell had come loose out of the rubber grommet it sits in so I glue it back in & am waiting for the glue to set up good. The pictures of the clutch are of the one that come out & I can't really see anything wrong with it.I think you can push on the back of the race and them dogbone bearing's will come out.I'll mess with it later.

Looks like one of the dogbone teeth is hung up on something, marked with an arrow, that starter clutch might be good, just has a tooth hug-up.that's why I didn't want to mess with it too much.I'm going to see if I can get that one tooth unhug.

I got the bearing and the new harmonic balancer puller kit yesterday. The puller kit only come with two M8-1.25 that were long enough so I had to get the tap & die set out and thread another bolt.

I like to have never got those three 8mm socket head screws out of the magneto that attaches it to the starter clutch.Their M8-1.25 and take a 6mm hex key.I tried a impact gun,let it soak in blaster, finally put the magneto in the vise with two piece's of deck boarding to hold it in the vise, then got a 6mm hex key along with a short piece of pipe and broke them loose.Had me worried there for a bit.

I had unhooked the spark plug wire so I could turn it over to see if the new starter clutch was going to work without starting the atv.Well I forgot about doing that and gas fouled the NGK spark plug.I don't know about NGK plugs anymore. They don't seem as good of quality as they used to be.So I dug around and found the old used Champion plug I had & it started right up.

I got that one tooth pushed back in to place right,if I knew then what I know now.I probably could have done that & put it back in there.I just don't know if you could trust it or not.

I just checked the oil before trying to start it this morning & it's holding on the full line on the dipstick plus it started up fine, problem fixed I reckon. My only worry now is that I didn't have any 15W40 oil to put back in it.Manual calls for 15W40.So I put 1400ml of 10W40 back in it.I had some straight 30W diesel oil,but had second thoughts about putting it in there. It probably would have been alright since the hot humid days of summer are coming.Any thoughts?

Now that is going to be in the back of my mind everytime I turn the atv off in the woods somewhere. Is it going to start or is a dog bone looking bearing going to hang up & prevent the starter from turning the crank?

I went ahead and greased the drive shafts while I had the foot well out & was able to get the grease gun up in there.Next thing is to change all the gear oil in the front & rear differentials plus the transmission.I found a video on youtube showing you where all the drain plugs are at.

This guy found water had got into his.
I think the manual says to change it every 100 hours.Probably more if you've had your machine in deep water.

All these atv's are exactly the same,Linhai,Massimo,Loncin, there's more. One of the right side cover gaskets I ordered was for a Massimo 400,exact same part number, exact same gasket that this one uses. Here's one of the one's I ordered off Ebay:

The design of the Linhai atv hasn't really changed so parts should be pretty easy to access.I've just been going through the parts manual and finding a part, then searching for it on the internet to see what comes up,so far, most of the part numbers I have searched have come up.

The 300 4x4 atv I got is basically the 260/300 so when looking for parts, usually just putting in Linhai 260 4x4 atv in the search box brings forth results.

Parts Boss has a lot of Linhai parts.
