Desert rats?

With winter approaching, the temps here in the desert have dropped to a much more humane level. If anyone's ever interested in riding the Mojave area let me know....Miles and miles of riding out here. Culcune, do you ever hit Ocotillo?

I just got the Jetmoto rolling again with a new Lifan motor, rode it for 2 and a half days, and the tranny went out :x I have never been there riding, but wanted to get that way, but now....? We'll see if plan B comes to fruition!

Wow, the tranny on a Lifan motor went out?.....that's unusual. Got a warranty on the motor?

It happened to me, developed a BIG vibration under load. It was replaced under warranty though.

Like Frostbite said with his, there were a few days of big vibrations. I attributed it to it being a Lifan motor (the LIfan, according to the press releases, was just upgraded this year to account for the vibrations, if I remember correctly).

I was just riding, and the thing would not "catch" gear anymore. I rolled to a stop, and no more shifting! My bike, had, once again, managed to strand me, and the engine only had about 200 kms (the oil was changed before the first ride).

I am giving up on this bike as it has managed to eat through 2 engines, somehow. I am trading it on parts and labor for a fuel pump/installation into my Buick which will be my primary mode of transportation until the next bike sometime in January or February. (Qlink XF200?!)

I tried, with no success, to get approved on a new UM SMF-200 enduro, but that was through my own bank, and my credit wasn't as bad as I had thought, so maybe there is some hope for one of those through a finance company.
