2020 Hawk Chain guide miss-aligned
I found a How-to video on youtube to mickey mouse the rubber chain guide but I was wondering if there is a replacement part that fits correctly or do I have to get creative as well?
I did a bunch of searches in this forum but I guess my search criteria wasn't close enough. Like the youtube my stock rubber chain guide wont work the way it is. another thing, it looks like the chain will constantly rub on the upper part of the guide. Is that the way it is supposed to be? New, out of the crate working project. I'm waiting for parts and such to get it out on the road. The easy part was licensing for Washington state roads any help will be appreciated KenTaoyan ~2018 QIYI Coolster 125CC ~2019QIYI Coolster 150CC ~2020 Hawk 250 ~1981 Honda XL185s ~TaoTao 125CC quad Last edited by KenTaoyan; 07-18-2020 at 11:37 PM. I switched to a CSC TT250 chain guide & a 17th tooth front sprocket and have had no problems. The 17 tooth sprocket sits higher relatively speaking, than the stock 15 tooth and takes some of the pressure off of the guide. Either way, no problems using it on my Hawk:

thank you for your input
Still haven't got it on the road but its close. I already have the sprockets and I am getting Shinko 244 tires this week. I jetted the PZ30 and changed the oil and have it idling now.
Again, thank you |
