CF Moto 650NK 2022 upgrade ideas

Snagged a 2022 CF Moto for $500 under MSRP out the door because the dealership was struggling to move it. Now I am looking to spend some of the savings I got from not buying a major Japanese competitor on upgrading this bike! Asked the cfmoto forum but haven't gotten much response, just seems a lot less active.

I want to remove the catalytic converter but have very little mechanical know-how so I' love to grab a full system exhaust instead of just a slip on with some sketchy connector pipes from a company I have never heard of. I've read that the 650 line-up uses the same engine as the Kawasaki 650 line up or it is such a rip-off that parts fit both bikes easily. I have also read that they have a collaborative agreement with KTM on their engines. IS THIS TRUE? I have seen no pictures or found people actually claiming they have used Kawa or KTM fitted parts on their CF Moto. If it does, it would open up a lot of options.

I already plan on swapping to a high flow air filter and probably a better oil filter after I change the oil the first time around.

Yes makes the engines but technically CFmoto makes them because they make all of the duke engines now too. I have no clue about exhaust im wondering the same thing. Have you upgraded anything yet? I’m thinking about putting crash bars and a top case with passenger handles. I’m really loving the bike but have issues with slow speeds feeling jerky, do you have the same issue?
