Scooter rider from Texas

My wife and I currently own Taiwanese scooters. I am considering a mainland China dual purpose bike. After the recent rains here, my scooter could not make it through some of my favorite roads because the 10" tires quickly sink in the mud.
I built a motorized bicycle with a Chinese HT engine a few years back, so I do have a small splash of relevant experience. I still ride my e-bike too.

Welcome; we are glad you joined us.

I'm sure you will enjoy riding a dual sport bike very much. There are several good options currently available. Have you considered an adventure bike, such as the Zongshen RX3?

Welcome. I am thinking about one of those motorized bikes as a fun project.

-I read up a bit on the Zongshen RX3. Looks like a great commuter, too.
-A Motorized bicycle can be built for under $300 and I have seen builders spend thousands on one. Its a good way to learn or teach some basic engine mechanics too.

Welcome!

X2 on what Spud says. DS bikes are terrific.
