New Zongshen Rider

Hello all, I ride a 2008 Zongshen ZS125GY-A. I have had it for a few months and it has been pretty good. Few small problems but that should be expected for the price.

I live in the Cayman Islands, the bike has been great for cheap transportation and exploring the Island. In 3 months I have put 1800 miles on it. Not bad for a Island 29 miles long.

Here are some pics.

It is a pretty popular bike down here since the dealership is the only one selling Chinese right now.

Welcome, Jason! I own the Zong Sierra 200GY-2. Your Zongshen ZS125GY-A is a very nice-looking motorcycle. I am glad to hear the bike is running well for you.

Yes, a ride on Cayman Island sounds very nice, especially this time of year! We received 4 inches of fresh snow yesterday.

I have actually done that, I have a friend who lives up in Stoney Rapids. I was born and raised in SK, lived there for 18 years.

I would of liked the 200, it was only 200 dollars more but the thing is the licensing only lets me ride up to 125cc for the first 6 months.

That regulation is quite "interesting." :( Can you wait for six months, then acquire a larger motorcycle, or must you somehow verify six months of experience on a smaller motorcycle before you are allowed to move up to a larger bike? :?:

P.S. The Zong 200GY-2 is a very good bike; I enjoy mine a lot.

You don't need to own anything I guess, and you could just get the license and wait till you can get your full license then buy.

I like the 200, I have seen a few around, not nearly as common as the 125. It seems like a better bit bike then mine. For the price difference being so small the only thing that held me back was the licensing and insurance.

How did you manage to leapfrog from Saskatchewan to the Okanagan to the Cayman Islands? That's a cool trick.

Glad you like it, I went to Okanagan College then moved here. I am not that old.

What I mean is, what brought you to the Cayman Islands (unless you'd rather not discuss it)? I visited Grand Cayman last year; it's very beautiful. I wish I could have stayed longer. I was amazed at the ratio of nearly 1:1 of left hand to right hand drive vehicles.
