I pissed of the wife today

I am not the best mechanic to start with. I pulled the FZ1 in the kitchen and installed a Micron header, AIS block off plates, Graves velocity stacks, and changed the plugs to NGK iridium.

Started at 8am when the wife was at the gym. Just a few minutes ago I pushed it out and pressed the start button.

IT STARTED!

Seriously when I got the hawk I called the local mechanic who DID work on my FZ1 and he would not work on Chinese bikes forcing me to do so which ended up being a great thing. I learned so much. Thanks to all you guys who made DIY vids and such. I am no expert mechanic but had the confidence to do this and not pay the $450 the mechanic wanted to do all this work. I will say there were times today I felt like I had bitten off more than I could chew but I did it.

Wife should appreciate saving the $$$, right?

Anyway I am pretty proud of myself. Here is a pic, you can see the hawk through the door on the patio.

Lastly, IT SOUNDS LIKE A BEAST!

That’s a good picture and I’m proud of you for jumping into that job and not paying someone else to do it. BUT....... you would have broke the internet if you just could have posted a pic of yourself doing a burnout in the kitchen

I got back into the game to quick, a year after my divorce. My recent relationship just ended after 17 years. She wants to be back in KY with her kids and grandkids. I want to be out exploring the world, while I still have enough health and time.

Better be making that dog house more comfortable before she finds out.

Rode it today. IT IS LOUD! Got it inspected as well. Idle sounds even better. Did not get on it but I reckon it will sound like Mrs. Godzilla reaching that special moment while Mr. Godzilla works his giant mutated lizard magic on her.

Just a hypothesis.

Wife is cooled off. I cooked and cleaned 2 nights in a row. Small price to pay and I got to pick what we ate. Not some Kale salad with unseasoned chicken breast. She is a great woman but a not so good cook.
