Motocross/Track-worthy Chonda?

Hiya there, Experts! (Compared to my limited dirt/track knowledge, anyone qualifies to be one )

Which Chonda would make a good entry/moderate level motorcross/dirt track-able vehicle?

I've ZERO dirt/offroad experience, so it'd be limited to short straight line jumps, basic obstacle courses, slowish rhythm sections etc.,

Planning to get one within the month, so I can practice basic routines, balancing etc., or attend some dirt bike skills camps and be ready by Summer. *Please* share your inputs and guide me .

Thanks in advance, and a Happy, Safe, Fun, Adventure-filled New Year to everyone!!

So three strategies. I'm a total offroad noob myself so I can't talk about specific bikes, just goals.

$
Buy something cheap to learn on and that you can beat up without too much remorse. Then move up to $$ or $$$.

$$
Spend a bit more to get something you can upgrade or is good enough as is for both a complete beginner and someone moderately experienced. Perhaps the most practical option for most people.

$$$
Buy once, cry once. Get the bike you want to end up with. Cheapest option in the long run, because you only bought one bike.

Only thing I would trust would be a GPX for that kind of work, but the suspension would need to be completely reworked. Some might say Orion, but the owner strikes me as a bit too defensive, and perhaps he's overcompensating for the quality of his product/after-sales support, which is typical Chonda, which is to say, not good. GPX has great customer support and great quality, you just pay more than the other Chinese brands.

None. These bikes are more like tractors. They are not going to perform at all for your intended use. They weigh too much. The suspension isn’t good enough. The power isn’t there half the time.

This is not a good use for any of the current bikes.

I think it would be really nice if they made one, but they just haven’t done that yet.

I would stick to the same types of bikes you see other people using in motocross.

Like these:

I realize they are extremely expensive. So used might be the way to go.

There are some models of various brands in the 125cc and 140cc class which have upgraded and adjustable suspension and larger wheels, i.e. 17" front and 14" rear.

For example:

Got it, thank you!
I'll have to borrow my friend's GPX and test drive it and get a feel for it
I notice that the GPXs aren't exactly in the lower price spectrum, so I believe I have to commit to it and look at it as a longer term bike.

I believe you're 100% on the spot here!

Will take a look at these... until then I'll have to get my skills up and try more off-roading

Did the Kayo later become GPX?

Kayo is top of the like china bike. About as close as you can get to KTM without buying a KTM/ Gas Gas/ Husqvarna. Possibly the best suspension out of the china bikes listed.

GPX... just the Kayo bikes at a cheaper margin... but a seemingly higher price. Odd.

SSR... Probably the lowest spec'd of the bunch, but also the most popular.

All of them are pretty beginner friendly.
