XR100 in the white $%#@

We had some white $%#@ a couple of weeks ago. Thank God it was gone in a couple days but despite temps in the teens I wanted to ride the local hills in my neighborhood.

I have new very aggressive soft terrain tires on the XR's and they made riding in the snow (maybe an inch deep, not much) a lot of fun. Riding on the snow covered pavement was more slippery that in the snow covered dirt.

I hate winter.

Good for you, Doc. Indeed, riding with knobby tires on snow covered dirt works well. I don't enjoy riding a motorcycle on snow covered pavement; it scares me.

I put-putted on the pavement. I didn't go any faster than I wanted to fall. Just visited the neighbors and pulled a couple neighborhood kids on sleds.

"I didn't go any faster than I wanted to fall."

Good call, Doc. This was right about the point in my life when I figured I'd finally reached maturity.

That logic is also transferable. "I didn't invest any more than I wanted to lose."

Thanks for the pics, Doc. Pulling the kids must have been fun.

It was fun.

One of the nice things about an XR is that it is geared so low there is almost no limit to it's ability to pull, although at a modest speed.
