NC 250 Engine Aftermarket Carburetor - Asia Wing Dirt Bike

Hello,
I'm new to the forum. I purchased an Asia Wing RM250 dirt bike. At 1/3 to 1/2 throttle it bogs. I've tried the idle and air/fuel screw as much as possible but it has not helped. I know this engine is fairly popular and would like to get a replacement carb. Not really sure which model of Mikuni to get. I've seen others with the Apollo dirt bike use the Mikuni VM series but I'm not sure which size to get or the correct model number carb. Any input on this problem and carb would be very helpful. I tried searching the forum but could use some extra help. Thanks so much! I attached pics also for reference. Also, I live at Sea Level.
Dan

Welcome aboard! You might need a larger pilot jet. Try raising the needle one notch first and see if that helps. If your looking to swap the carburetor I would go with the Nibbi PE30.

Thanks so much for that info! Greatly appreciated. I'll give the jetting a try first. Appreciate the carb recommendation also!

PE30 is far too small!
This is an NC250 should be 32-34mm or so

I agree that you can probably rejet & adjust your carb to run okay.

If you decide to upgrade to a better carb I'd look into a Chines clone of the Keihin FCR carb. There's a poster on ThumperTalk & ADVrider named Chadzu that bought one for his GPX FSE250R, but I'm not sure if he's tested it out yet.

They sell them on eBay if you want to see what they cost. I can't remember which size Chadzu said he bought.

Thanks for the great info everyone. One question: In order to change the main jet, do I need to remove the entire carb or is there a way to do it with the carb on. Any links to videos would be great if available. Thanks!
