New to me Kawasaki Vulcan 500!

Added a new baby cruiser to the stable. 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 500. Is faster than my old V-star 650 by a very noticeable amount! Very light weight and handles more like a sport bike than a cruiser, yet rides as silky smooth as any cruiser I have ridden to date. Was one owner with only 7900 miles on it! Brand spanking new tires and chain. Was too sweet a deal to pass up!
I only rode it for an hour today, then the rain set in. :-/
But it was one very enjoyable hour. :-D
Not going to do much to it. Add some Viking saddle bags, would LIKE a bigger windshield than the Honda rebel sized one that is on it now. Maybe have a buddy of mine who paints cars repaint it in some other color simply because all the Vulcan 500's from this generation I have ever seen are all this same color. It is a very beautiful metallic red. But, like I said, all of them are the same. If I do that will be a next winter project, cause it is time to RIDE!!!! :-D

Congratulations!

Wonderful bike, looks new. Great aftermarket support, performance, and reliability. A well proven platform, still in production. Comfortable too.

Personally I love the color, I'd never be in a rush to pain a bike that has a great paintjob to begin with. Use your time and money to ride!

That's a beautiful motorcycle. I agree with Doc; I like the metallic red.

That's a really nice cruiser you've got there! I've got to agree with Doc and Spud, the paint is gorgeous. Maybe get some custom pinstriping in a contrasting color to set it apart from all the other ones out there.

thank you to all. ) Yesterday I was sick and in bed most of the day, on top of that it was in mid 30's and raining most of the day, so no further time to ride. May use it for a quick gas station run here in a bit.

Well done. The smaller Vulcan never sold as well as the Honda VT600, but I think it is a far more capable bike.
