This is a really nice bike! Not much of a cruiser guy, but this caught my eye. I am glad i clicked into this thread. Your threads always seem great. Cant wait to see all that you have planned for it. I really need to google your X22r thread to see how that turned out. Never even heard of that bike.

Is this bike a true 250cc or still a 230cc? An did i read that right, this is a CB and not a CG based engine?

I do plan on doing some more mods to the bike if the weather ever warms up. Below freezing temperatures are not normal around here. I do have the 4 degree timing key, ported head waiting to be installed and just got the oil cooler (not that i need it right now. lol). All I need to order is the cam.
The engine is a copy of the SL230 and CRF230F engine which is 223 cc's. The CB engine is much easier to find parts and mod to get the extra ponies out of it. The CRF230F piston, head and cam's are an exact fit which are what i installed on the X22R.

I installed the oil cooler a couple of Sundays ago but never posted pictures. The past weekend was so nice. Finally got to get out and ride. It's been so cold, wet and rainy for the past few months. It got up into the 80's over weekend which was nice compared to the unusually cold teen's and 20's we had a little over a week ago. Here's a few pics and a short video on the oil cooler.

Well the weather has been awesome all week. 60's in the morning and upper 70's during the day. I've been riding the Ghost all week commuting to work. Sure feels nice being back in the saddle again. I have just over 825 mile on it now. Bike has ran flawless. The engine gets smoother as i put on the miles. Too bad the rain will be back next week cause i sure enjoyed it this week.

Got nearly 1000 miles on mine so far and finally got around to adjusting my valves. Aftermarket tail light broke so I decided to commit for a bobber look. Got something cooking up for the exhaust I hope will work out too but that will have to wait and see. On a side note, i couldnt find any chain tension info on the bike or in the manual, so if anyone has it for the x22r or this that would be appreciated. Got mine set to ~20mm right now of slack.

Weather finally getting nice around here. I stripped her back down to her summer outfit. I hit the 1,200 mile mark yesterday. I took a 3 hour cruise through the back roads. I didn't see Mary Ann or Gilligan.

Here how she looks now. I like the bar end mirrors so much better. I can see directly behind me instead of looking at my shoulders. And yes culcune i removed the windshield.

Thanks, Yeah, it's amazing how something as simple as mirrors will change the look of this bike.

Nope! winter will be back. If i burn it, it will only keep me warm for 15-20 minutes. Install it will keep me warm the whole winter.

On my old Victory, it had a HUGE barn door windshield. Every time I stewed on how stupid it looked, I'd inevitably catch a helicopter-size dragonfly at the top edge of it, that would have smacked me square in the mug at 75 mph.
That always changed my mind on cutting it.

I got smacked in the face shield on Sunday by a dragon fly and a few other miscellaneous bug that smashed beyond recognition.
