Question about "performance" CDI's

I saw on another forum (49ccscoot.com maybe?) where someone said they had tested these "performance" CDI's and found that they were essentially worthless. Can anyone with real test info chime in and share your results? If they do more than just remove the rev limiter (ie: forward ignition timing) then they might be worth the investment.

Don't waste your money. You will get more performance using an advance timing key.

I think a monster energy sticker would add about the same performance but only costs a dollar .

I tried one on my Lifan 200 several years ago. Posh brand. Terrible. Wouldn't idle under 2500 RPM, pinging on acceleration. Obviously the timing was too advanced.

You could double that performance by adding a Red Bull sticker on the other side.

You have to put the Red Bull sticker on the BACK and the Monster sticker on the front. Or vise-versa. Whichever sticker is bigger goes on the back. Opposites attract, so the goal is to get a net propulsive force from the rear pushing the bike forward. It's basic science.

Where can you get said timing key? I have been out of the loop for a bit now and there has been soooooo much new stuff. Lot of price increases as well unfortunately. What kind of performance increase does it give?
