Relooking at your Pictures The Speedo on the LXT Looks alot like the "Q" - Does that really have a HONDA Engine on it?

I think the speedometers are exactly the same, Andrew. The previous owner cracked the stator cover, and replaced it with an NX250 part.

The Xingyue/LXT 400 is mostly a Honda clone, Andrew. The bottom end of the engine is cloned from the Honda NX250. The top end of the engine is from a Rotax, ATV engine. The frame and swingarm are reputed to be cloned from the Honda XR400. The forks are Chinese, and the saddle is suspected to come from Hades.

That means that '96 to '04 XR250 parts will fit as well. Same bike, AFAIK.
That's what I think. I'm starting to think of this bike as a Honda clone with a Rotax cylinder and head. That will help with spare parts. I also would use XY Canada and/or Saga Canada if I needed anything. The prices for parts are amazingly low for this bike. :P

Will post in the Other Stuff Forum in a minute. Stupid fast bike. Husaberg and KTM are the same. Fuel injected, top shelf everything. Way more bike than I need, but it would make a cool D/S.

LMAO Spud!

If I kept this bike I'd be considering eBay for XR400 saddles...

It seems to me that you could swap an XR400 cylinder, piston and head onto that bottom end, if you were so inclined. The XR400 engine runs all day long without coolant, but it does use a small heat exchanger behind the headlight to cool the oil.

Where is the dipstick on the XY? Is it on the engine? On my XR250R, it's in front of the gas tank.

A little creativity and maybe a MIG welder could move a rad.

Fish, have you tried bulk heater hose from the local parts store? If you need an elbow in it, you could always insert one and secure it with gear clamps.

This bike is a wt sump. The oil fill and dipstick are on the right side of the engine.

I'll leave it to the next owner to modify. I am enjoying it as is right now. Fired right up this AM. The 'trick' is to just pull the enricher a tiny bit, she starts right up and is good to ride with no stumbling in a minute. Temps are in the mid 40's this AM, FWIW.

I checked the hoses they are fine. I may replaace them with hoses from the auto parts store though.

I was hoping XY Canada would be a good source. What's up there?

This was Daddy's XY. I hope it treats me better than it treated him. So far so good...
