[moved] 2006 Lifan 200GY5 Build - Help!!

Original: http://www.chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=21117

My goal is to make this bike an good daily driver and possibly use it for some ADV.

Here are the pics of the bike, they are too big to put into the thread (my phone camera is too high def lol).

Link: http://tinypic.com/a/abpk6r/4

I need to make a new seat, get the engine running, and somehow either replace or repair my gauge cluster (not sure if it works or not but it is damaged).

The front rim is bent too.

But I got the bike for free!
Carburetor on WISH for $20 lol

Any and all suggestions on where to get parts, ideas on repairs and anything at all, please share!!

This carb is a few bucks more, but easier to find jets for: https://www.ebay.com/itm/PZ30-VM26-3...NaepjT&vxp=mtr

I already replaced the carburetor with the one in the image, it being identical to the one that I took off that was completely siezed (garbage).

That's old school Lifan, for sure. It shouldn't be much problem getting the engine going if it spins. You have the counterbalanced motor in it also. Cool..........
Let me know if you easily find a seat. I searched for one for my old X-Moto (very similar) and came up with a goose egg at the time.
Rims are easily found online for cheap. How is the condition of the spokes?
Spokes look fine, just looks like he threw it out of true, we road it around still afterward without issues.

No garages around me will do work on a chinese bike or its parts though. Was thinking of taking the rim to a yamaha dealer in my area and saying it was off an older yz or something.

Update: debating on buying a aluminum or plastic throttle, the one on the bike is part mini-bike and part oem, so it won't last very long practically

Keep posting sounds like your close to getting it moving on its own power, nothing like a free bike!
