So I got another valve adjuster screw, adjusted the valves and still very hard to start. Cleaned the carb multiple times. It started briefly, idling pretty high as I reached down to turn the idle screw out it stalled and had a hard time starting it again. I have good spark, so I am leaning towards carb problems. While I am trying to start it smells like gas. I did check the float level. The needle in the slide /plunger is in rough shape. Could this cause hard starting and or rich mixture? Any help or things to check would be greatly appreciated.
