You can certainly fit a better bushing. Weldangrind has done this for several Chinese bikes/ATVs.

It would be difficult to get a tight fit with needle bearings running on the pivot bolt. A good quality rubber bushing should last a very long time. They've been used in car suspensions for many decades.

I'm glad someone mentioned the needle bearings, I'm having trouble tracking down the rubber bushings from my normal chinese parts websites. Also neither RPS nor CSC list these bushings as standalone parts on their parts diagrams, they look to be an integral part of the swingarm (although you can buy a new swingarm for around $60.)

However, knowing that this bike is a clone of the Honda NX250 or NX125, I found there are several bushing/bearing kits that are compatible with them:

Do you think these would be a safe bet?
But I'm still all for just finding some relatively inexpensive rubber bushings if I can find the right size.

I would go to local bearing shop, and ask them to help you find a bushing with the same dimensions as the stock bushing.

On my buddy's bike we noticed the same left and right play in the swing arm. We took it apart and found out the inner race had come out of the rubber bushing. We tapped it back in and greased the bolt...so far so good. I need to grease mine as well.

You can get polyurethane bushings by dimensions and since they're stiffer they don't need to be machine pressed like the rubber ones. You can leave the outer sleeve in the swingarm and use the inner sleeve you pulled with a poly bushing finger pressed in. The bushing will need a shoulder to stay in place and you'll need to have room for that, don't know if there is. If you wanna get fancy drill it for a grease nipple in case it gets squeaky down the road. Bearings can also be searched by specs; ID, OD, width, seal type.

What kind of bearings would you recommend and should they go the length of the tube?

Mine has been squeaking, upon removal I noticed that the swingarm was chewing the two outside caps.I just sandwitched 1 thin stainless steel washers on each side and greased the hell out of it.What else I can do??

I personally prefer Oilite Bronze Bushings with oil cups, but those urethane bushings work well - better than rubber. Problem with rubber bushings is they are vulcanized to the liners. So you've got TWO potential things to go wrong - the vulcanizing breaks down, or the rubber disintegrates. Needle bearings do not work as well as bronze bearings in any application in which the parts do not rotate, only swing through a small arc.
