i did like my hawk. i seemed to have gotten a good one. my friend came over and liked the hawk. i sold it at cost with mods, so no loss....i think the magician will be better suited for me bc i really dont see myself doing much off road riding. the magician comes with street tires and a better look to me....i am 6'2" and the hawk was plenty tall enough for me, and the tall forks felt way too slacky/swaying with the knobby tires and prob would with street tires. hopefully the lower ground clearance and lighter weight better suit me for street riding more so than the hawk.....the rack and the short/small rear fender is a bonus...i have had the 650's enduros and 1200 goldwings over my lifetime, but i seem to always be drawn to 250's and smaller..

It's an intriguing bike; I'm with you on the rack and rear fender. The only issue for me is fuel capacity, but that's a non-issue if you're commuting with it.

The slack feeling forks are easily taken care of on the Hawk.

Hopefully the Magician doesn't feel too cramped for you. It is a pretty small bike dimensionally compared to the Hawk.

I'm 6' even on my magician I typically sit on the rear seat lol.

I had to fab up a bushing but I put a cbr600 shifter on it, I was unable to get my foot in the position the magician stock shifter was in, you might try a cmx250(rebel?) shifter though.

I hated the front fender and ditched it too, went with an aceribus ducati scrambler style, had to fab up a mounting bracket for the existing triple tree hole to match up.

I put a 17 tooth on my wife’s magician and did not need to change the chain. It’s towards the end of the adjustments but there’s still some room.

Find someone with another truck or a trailer and go pick them up before they get banged up from being moved around.

I think The 5x8 trailer should handle both, I got mine from a terminal in short bed Dodge with the gate up.

I always liked this bike based on the looks when it was first announced. I have seen Motocheez's videos on his Magician, and it seemed like it was a better bike out of the box than the Hawk. It sounded great, stock, and he was easily pulling wheelies, which I am guessing is due to the lighter front end weight. As Weld mentioned, my only 'gripe' (based on never riding one or even seeing one in person, but based on the specs) is the smaller gas tank. But thinking back, I commuted 45 miles round trip on a Honda Ascot 500, and I had to remember to fill up the tank every two days just to be sure--I recall its tank was about 2 gallons as well. I think the rear sprocket is already road friendly, so the 17 will make it a perfect commuter!
