Nuetech Tubliss System Has anyone tried these

Has anyone tried these they seem like as close to a perfect answer to no flats or at least easy fixes in the field. all you would need is to plug the tire instead of removing and replacing tube. plus you could run them down to 10 psi or lower
https://www.motosport.com/nuetech-tu...m#askandanswer

it is mentioned that they are not DOT approved and are not recommended for higher speeds. but what is considered "higher speeds" our bikes cant go past 60 to 75mph if modded

I have a Tubliss set going on my Hawk, but have yet to install or ride on them.

They are not DOT approved because they haven't gone through the approval process. The main focus on this system is off road. That said, there are many people that have used them on-road without a problem. Most of what you are reading is basically the legal equivalent of "covering their ass" since they haven't gone through the DOT testing.

I did a lot of research on it before deciding to pull the trigger on the purchase. This included finding guys with dual sports that use them on the road, and walked away with the same impressions. They can be used on the road, and will work fine at the speeds our bikes are capable of.

On youtube you can watch a review video from eveRide ADV, and others, that talk about how they perform. There are also a couple other members here that use them, and can offer some advice. One big thing that was passed on to me was the importance of the inner bladder pressure being 100psi or more, and that you need to check it very regularly.

Like with anything else, it has it's pros and cons. If you use your bike off road on a regular basis, then it might be worth the investment. Just be aware that even the Tubliss system has a life span to it. The inner bladder is thankfully cheap to replace at about 20 bucks. The outer rim lock section will also eventually wear out and is a little more expensive to replace, but should last longer than at least a few regular tubes, mitigating the cost of replacement in the long run.

I was born with a natural desire to help, and what good is knowledge and information if it can't be used?

Have used them for 3 years in 2 diffrent bikes...
Husaburg and a Yamaha..
I even had a flat tyre at one enduro it wasn't till
the next day when washing the bike i noticed the
rear was flat.. had a cut in the side wall... on the 2nd loop
we rode a section with a lot of shale climbs... bet that was where
it got cut... So I rode the 3rd loop with it flat.. and never knew.
I ride with 8psi in the rear and 10psi in the front mostly..

I have tested them at 100kph on the road with the valves out
so no air in them at all...if you got a flat you could ride home
with them..just don't go around corners to fast as the bike
dose wonder around quite a bit...

the grip from them at low preasures off road is almost like cheating...

I also used it for offroad riding about 5-6 years ago, and can also confirm that, yes, the system does work. It's advisable though to purchase a few extra "inner tubes" just in case. I managed to rip the valve during installation/deinstallaiton on a couple of occasions.
