Rear sprocket drive pins.

I found these little fellows, and at the price of $16 for 2 pairs shipped to the UK I had to try them.

The only difference is the threaded end it's 8mm rather than 10mm, now my JT Sprockets rear sprocket has 2 sets of holes 8 and 10mm.

As the old pins sheared off at the drive side I'm going to give them a chance.

Jonathan.

How many miles before they sheared off? Dad and I got about 8k on both of ours. The replacements he made should outlive the bike.

The sprocket is a JTR 269-42, the original pins lasted 7.5k miles. By the look of them 2 have been broken for a while.

Jonathan.

If it's any help as I'm in the UK, I ordered mine from www.mandp.co.uk. They seem to have a permanant sale on for the small Honda sprockets, $4 front and $12 rear. I see that JT list the CL125 as using the 269-42 sprocket, was this not a popular model in the US?

Jonathan.

Yeah, JT lists lots of bikes that use this sprocket, but you can't buy from JT directly. I think I found one at bikebandit. Thanks for the help though.

Also I was looking on Bikebankit and you can get the pins and the rubber inserts from a 1980 honda xl185. Cost was alittle spendy, but they are there.
