Awaiting arrival

Hawks have made it here. They are at the freight company. Looks like they were delayed due to flooding in Dallas. They spent a day in Birmingham before going to the South Atlanta terminal. Then 2 am they left Atlanta and arrived in Greenville SC. I am expecting delivery tomorrow. With the weekend it will have taken 7 days.

I live out in the sticks so when I got the call from transport co. I just went to dock and picked her up rather than blowing another 24-48 hrs waiting for delivery. Just have a ramp available or help to remove from pickup

Good luck, ps check for package punches and note them with shipper if severe.

Still waiting.

Hawks are at The terminal. The commercial dock I am using requires delivery appointment. What's one more day? PRO# tracking shows 1130 tomorrow. 9 days!!!!!! Ugh!

Hawks have landed

Just received the Hawks this afternoon. I am missing the front axle nut on the green bike. The black bike came with black wheels. The green bike came with silver.

Hawk build continues. Fork oil changed to Honda suspension oil 10w. Green bike needs speedo, front turn signals, and headlight. Fork oil made a difference...I am going to try a few ounces at a time to stiffen the suspension. 150 ml is correct. Black bike is moving a little slower. We did notice on the black bike the right turn signals don't work. Not sure if it's connected or switch issue. I didn't find manufacture date. They both indicate mfr. 2015. APSCUSA has been great. Patty sent out my paperwork today. I would highly reccomend them if you are thinking of getting a Hawk. Respond to emails within an hour usually.

On the turn signal, check the bulb. Take it out and reinstall Ithe 180degrees from original orientation to ensure good connection before you start tracking back the wireing may be that simple, it was for me. Tighten that ground wire inside the cover too.

Thanks. Checking the bulbs is a good place to start. Dad always said "Don't overhaul the engine before checking the gas tank first."

The bikes are almost complete. The black bike started with a little attitude. Same old issue..to lean. Timing is too fast. If that was adjustable they would start better. Both these bikes do not have a choke on the carburators. The black bike went around the block twice....then after a few minutes it wouldn't start...Mikuni's are on the way. Adjusted the valves on both bikes to 05mm. Black bike sounds a little noisy. May have to revisit the valve adjustment. Replaced the fork oil in the green bike. 150 ml. Today I added 25 ml to each. They seem better. Used pro Honda suspension lube 10w. Moved the under seat wiring into the little box....modified to fit plugs through it. So far so good. 17/45 sprocket combo has arrived. Carb jets 115/30 have arrived. I think the carbs are coming from China. Changed oil..valvoline 10w40 motorcycle oil....mineral. That's it for now. I'll check the post office to see if my Tennessee paperwork arrives from APSCUSA.

Just read your post , you mean there's no lever on the side where my thumb is? all the way up is choked. its under the left side of the bike.

What Ron said! You have to reach through the left side under the seat all the way to the carb. lever should be there. up-choke, down-run.

Ugh!

I have made a grave error! I stated the carb did not have a choke...It clearly has a choke....Thanks sport rider. I feel so ashamed.
