Threw a 15T JT front sprocket on the Xpect a couple of days ago, which I suspect is the best gearing overall for this bike. Not too traily, not too streety.

Took it for a ride today. Perfect. The 2.80 ratio gives you 16 MPH indicated at 6000 rpm in 1st, and has enough revs for using all the power in 5th. The stock 3.07 meant you were shifting really early in 1st and were way wound out in 5th at too-low a speed. The 2.47 was fine for city riding but bogged down on the hwy. Could not get much beyond 6K rpm.

Now it will maintain 60 mph up a slight hill, and go 68 down that same hill. All indicated, not GPS, and with rider tucked low.

..........15.........17
42......2.80......2.47
46......3.07......2.71 stock
50......3.33......2.94

Cheesy is the WDK (workplace drama king). Now retired. Nope, back in the saddle.

Hello everyone, I’m new here and was wondering if anyone could help me? I have an xpect 200 and want to get a skid plate for it. Is there any that will fit, or do I have to make my own?

Welcome. Please start your own thread in the Dual Sport subforum, since your question has nothing to do with my thread.

Hey there Good nuff'

Well, I guess Tom sold his Expect earlier this Summer (this thread), though you may find useful info on the Lifan Expect (the bike you are talking about) in his defunct thread. He did many upgrades and there is definitely some useful tuning information directly relevant to your bike.

Regarding a skid plate, Tom sold his before finding one, though I am not sure he was looking.

I have looked around this site, and on the web, and the Expect is not specifically noted as applicable to a few generic plates out there. And, like you, I can't find one made for the Expect. I am sorry, but you clearly won't get any help from the OP. But there are lots of us interested in your questions. Welcome to the site!!!

By all means take a few pics and start thread on your Expect. And post your request on a skid plate there. We'd love to see some pics! Expect is a great bike.
