Surprised to see Suzuki up there with Honda. Not surprised to see Yamaha at the top spot. Can Am is not looking too good; bad PR since these ratings are 4 years after purchase, so I can imagine they are losing out on brand loyalty.

"Japanese bikes have fewer problems than BMW and Harley models"

This isn't the first time this rag has stated something like this. I sometimes think that Consumer Reports should be renamed with the phrase 'Captain Obvious...' embedded somewhere in the title...

Not surprising Japanese bikes are extremely well made and Chinese bikes aren't bing evaluated. I bet the failure rate from some of the big Chinese manufacturers is far from the bottom of the list.

It all depends what is called a failure....
A failure is not just a piston & rod hanging out though
a hole in the motor

A need to rejet the carb to get the bike to run right
That alone could be seen as a failure..

theres a post now from some one with a broken spoke...
