Tachometer for CG250

Does anyone know of a tach that will work on a cg250? I have a Janus Halcyon 250 with a CG250 motor. So far have tried 4 different tachs; none have worked. The cheap hour meter/tach has too much lag to be of any value. Then a cheapo on Amazon, a ColorShift($60+) and a Drag Specialties ($90+) have all exhibited random needle wander. No use at all.

Hope some one knows, as I'd really like a tach on this bike. I've installed the Stage 3 performance kit and flowed head from MotoCult and would really like to monitor revs.
