Swing arm pivot bolt broke and new one won’t fit.

Last Saturday I noticed my swing arm pivot bolt broke where the treads are. I pushed it in farther on the other side and welded a piece of titanium to the bolt and pushed it back through so it can’t fall out. I ordered a new one and I tried installing it and it seems to be to big? I’m
not sure sure what’s going on. The length is right but it might be to big. I don’t have a caliber to see how wide the stock one is. Does anyone know the correct size? I ordered a 14mm * 260mm. If that’s the right size what would cause it not to go in?

What kind of bike? A TBR7 I'm guessing, based on your previous posts?

It should be a 14mm diameter. Same as the Hawk and its ilk as far as I know. As to why it's not going in, you need to make absolutely sure the swingarm is lined up with the holes in the frame. It'll be under spring tension from the rear shock unless you also pulled the shock out. I find it helpful to put a floor jack under the pivot point and gently lift/lower the swingarm until the holes are all lined up and you can push the bolt through.
