Hello China Riders

I've enjoyed reading posts from this forum and thought it was time to register. Based on lots of YouTube reviews (special thanks to MotoCheez) and lots of China Riders posts, I decided to buy a RPS Hawk 250 from TXPowerSports on 10/22/2018. I have about 250 miles on it so far (all dirt) with some minor problems, but no regrets! It puts a smile on my face every time I jump on, especially knowing I only spent $1,354.00 to get it. I live in Maricopa County, Arizona, and had no problem getting plates. I paid $75.00 sales tax and I'm not sure how much for title plates and tags because I also got two AZ driver licenses at the same time ($90.00 for all). I didn't need to get an inspection at the MVD--just took in the Bill of Sale and the Certificate of Origin.

Again, thank you all for taking time to post problems, solutions, and general info.

Oorah!

Back for more?

Gio beast owner and poster from 2010ish thinking about a Brozz 250. The Beast was a great learning tool even though my kids mocked me for owning it. I put all the upgrades on it and even macgivered some of my own. Thanks for the info on registration in Arizona Oorah. I winter in Tucson and was curious how difficult it would be for me.
I have read much about the Hawk and that could meet my need but I do like the idea of a counterbalanced engine so thought a Brozz shipped to AZ over a CSC TT250. Also I am 6’4” and the seat is a bit taller on the Brozz I have read. Anyone with a dealer recommendation?

Oorah...welcome to here! Someone must have messed something up at the Yuma MVD because a few years back when I registered my TMEC 200, I had to take it in for a visual inspection.

Waynec, Check with member Peace Sports from his thread. He should know who to buy from. The Brozz has been described as a great bike. I would consider the BMS enduro since it is a Bashan bike but with 21/18 wheels. Ipersonally don't mind the 'oddball' wheel sizes of the Brozz, but some around here do, lol.

Hi W&G. I was going to pm you with a hi. I am retired now!!! It’s wonderful. I am now spending 4 months in AZ and I know I bent your ear a couple of years ago about what bike to consider but never pulled the trigger.
My Reno’s down south are about complete.....I bought a “fixer upper”.....aka a dump and now I have time and would love a Brozz or Hawk. Looks like build quality is much better than our Gio Beast days and the pricing is decent. Used Japanese bikes seem to carry a premium price in Tucson and new bikes are more expensive that here at home. I don’t get it. It will be fun to shop the market and build a bike.
Hope you are well.
W

Greetings Devil Dog!

Welcome to the forum! I also have the Hawk 250, like so many of us! It’s a great little bike! When you think you are done modding it, someone will do something really cool to their Hawk and it starts all over again!

Keep us posted on what you do to your Hawk and the places you take it!

Enjoy the Ride!
