I changed the oil in my TT250 before I started it the first time. The factory stuff in there looked kinda gross. I have been running 10w40 Valvoline motorcycle specific standard oil in there. I did a change a 2 miles (before the first start, when I took it out of the crate), 100 miles, and 500 miles. The bike runs and shifts incredibly well. I'll probably stick with the non-synthetic Valvoline stuff for a while.

I too use Rotella T4 in all my bikes. Used T6 for a while in the quad because it runs hot but switched back after installing the oil cooler. It's convenient to use the same oil in all the bikes, its readily available, not expensive, and it works. The original CG engine in my Lifan still shows the cross hatch honing marks on the cylinder walls after 50,000 miles, using T4.

ran motul for the break in period 10w 40 metric and then switched to amsoil synthetic 10w40 metric really like how smooth the clutch feels but the oil seams to be to thin and i burn about 100ml every 500miles and ill be putting my oil cooler on so im thinking of switching back or to somthing better idk ? somthing that wont get eaten bit thicker but stay nice and amber for a while like the amsoil ... it really does a good job lubricating too much so that it ends up eatting some of it or somthing i dont mind adding just once the oil cooler is on i suspect that may become a chore since mine came with a syringe to fill the cooler each oil change.
