Baja DR 125 Rear Brake Bracket

Hi folks! I'm new to these forums, but I've had a Baja Dirtrunner 125 for years! Ride the hell out of it! However, today I ran into an issue.

The bracket that holds the rear brake sheared off - because cheap pot metal. Is this a pretty standard jellybean part or am I going to have to rig something up? If you would kindly point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it!

I hope everybody is safe and healthy in these crazy crazy times!

Thanks in advance for your expertise!

I'm assuming you are referring to part #2 in the diagram below. If so, the contact information for Baja is in the lower left corner.

That would be part 2! Thanks! Also, I thought Baja was long out of business due to bankruptcy and lawsuits from a number of recalls, no?

Baja is probably no help to you but give them a try .I ordered and paid for a complete rear wheel assembly for the same bike as yours a long time ago ,like in 2008 or 9 or so ,and it still has not arrived lol .

Bruces, you're right, I forgot about that.

DR125 rider, can you post up a few pics of the bracket you have, we might be able to locate a suitable replacement for it.

It's not you. We are having issues with the website. Working on it.

Ah, I see. That is is unfortunate. Welp, I wish I could have found a source for the part, but ultimately, I decided to just take it to a machine shop and have them make one. It's gonna be a bit pricey, but at least it will be done. Only so many days left in the riding season out here in the Northeast. I've heard this bike is a Honda clone, so maybe a Honda part would work? I don't know. I don't have the patience to find out at this point! lol Thank you folkls for all the help and suggestions! I'm sure this wont be the last time I come to the forum for help and input!

Just the motor really, sometimes the chassis depending on the bike, but there was only one Honda that came to the States with the CB/CG series of motors that had a rear disc, and this bike isn't a copy of that one.
