plug / eliminate hose to air box?

hello, soo my 2016 TT250 has a hose going from the stock air box to a "can" with a 1 way valve. Is this for emissions ? can i just plug the hose? any better preformance? Thanks

Defeating the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) won't improve performance significantly on a 1 cylinder engine. And it won't prevent it from running about the same way left OEM setup. The only thing to worry about is inspection if you are subject to that in your county.

But don't block the breather port. It provides the crankcase with a breather that is necessary to protect seals.
