I'd send a message to humanbeing, a member on this site... He's Chinese, and usually has the inside connection. He's on my friends list if that helps.

Hi there again guys. In view that I have the only stator that does not exist, due to having what looks to be the only pick-up coil or pick-up trigger that measures 30mm (bolt hole center to center), while all others measure 35mm.

Does anyone knows if the stator cover from another 200/230/250cc china engine fits my Loncin 250? Provided it uses a 30mm pick-up trigger. I believe that is a viable option. What do you guys think?

MAGNETO 200cc 250cc stator, Quad Dirt bike.Zongshen,Loncin, hummer orion xmoto

Type the above into the search bar on Ebay. Check out the results from Australia. I'm on a tablet and the copy/paste isn't working correctly. I saw one from down under that looked to have your dimensions.

Another one. The above looks to be exactly the same as yours down to the wire colors. I don't know what language it is so don't know where it's from.

Edit: France. I now see the flag at the upper right.

Thank you for the leads guys. I'm sending messages to both and see what happens. Again, very much appreciated. I'll keep you posted on whatever happens.

Well, almost a year into this ordeal. Have bought 5 stators, all claiming to be the correct one.
None of them the right pick-up coil. Those who have answered it's correct (2 of them) 1 took a return, the other one did not. It's gone like this:
1 never showed up.
1 cost e-bay a 20+ year buyer/seller since they refused to do a return. Amazon gained a customer.
1 I kept.
1 I returned.
Last one was a complete wiring, with the wrong pick-up coil bolt spacing again. Returning all this wiring kit as well. Sellers never or very rarely respond to the question of the bolt spacing.

Australian and French sellers did not respond either.
Just sent a question to another seller, we'll see if I ever get an answer.
Still no stator... Just thought you should know where I am with this.
Just about given up on this thing.

Thank you for chiming in. I have that 1 here, it does not fit. Specially the way the wiring is on the back. I even modified the cover to try and fit it. It didn't. The pick-up coil is 35mm bolt spacing, which everybody seems to use. Mine is 30mm and barely any room for it. Also the center hole is 3mm bigger, the holes for the bolts that hold it in are also bigger, so it moves around. This needs to be centered in perfectly inside the cover and flywheel. If the flywheel touches anything at all, it's done.

Been trying to find pick-up coils so I can solder one in. So far I have not find the correct one. The Yamaha Banshee uses one that has the right dimensions, but the wires come out the opposite end.

If anyone knows where to find this sort of stuff, please, by all means, let me know.
Kind of loosing hope with this china made stuff. Will keep trying until riding season starts, heck, I missed all of last year. What good is it to have it, if you can't use it?

Thanks again.

TORKER.

Why not just get a stator cover that has the spacing for a more conventional pickup?

I will borrow a stator cover from a non-OHC engine from a used Hawk 250 I just got. However, the Hawk cover is wider. That will be todays little project to see if it works. I had put an add a while back in the wanted parts section of the forum looking for the non-OHC cover, but so far, it's proven difficult to find as well. I'll report back with my findings...

The Saga continues. Both, the 166FMM (OHC) and 167FMM (Pushrod) engines are very different to each other. The cases are different, the stator cover is a lot bigger, the pick-up coil is in the opposite location, which may affect timing (different flywheels/crankshaft key slot/etc?).
I have 2 engines of each. I think I'm going to open 1 of each and gather all the data that I can. That way I'll know what fits and what does not. But that is going to happen at a later time, since that take time, space and all the gaskets and seals for each motor. If I could find service manuals for these engines, the work would be a lot easier. Maybe it's not even worth it.

So far, no luck. Stator cover does NOT fit.

Thanks dirtbkr188. Will explore that route. Great info for sure and, if it works, will help many Vitacci owners.

Sent a text with all the required info to the number on the thread. Hopefully I'll find the correct stator. We'll see.
