XR200/Lifan ALIVE!!
Got my Honda XR200 wired up and running. Currently breaking it in. Wondering a few things..?? How long is the break in period. I don't know km's but more hours on the bike. Also I want to wire it for electirc start. Does anyone know how I have to wire it??
THanks! |

I'd give it five hours of easy throttle, change the oil and then give 'er!
The electric start will require a solenoid of your choice. Run a heavy gauge wire from the positive battery terminal to the solenoid, then from the solenoid to the starter. From there, you have two choices: one is to run a small gauge fused wire from the battery to the handlbar switch, and then from the switch to the solenoid trigger positive terminal; the negative terminal goes to ground. The other choice is to run a small gauge fused wire from the positive battery terminal to the positive trigger on the solenoid, and then run a ground wire through the switch to the negative trigger wire. Either setup will work, but the second method does not have a hot wire running to the switch at all times, but rather a short hot wire directly to the solenoid trigger.

I hope you already did this (and I haven't kept up with all your threads), but change out the shipping liquid that the engine comes with for real oil.
