Vbike 125CC-H

Well after tossing around the vbike vs. Kazuma thing, I decided I would try the vbike. I called first thing this morning and placed the order. The guy on the phone cut me a deal over what is listed on the website, so be sure to call to place the order. He said he would call me back this evening and give me the tracking information, but I never did hear from him. I'm hoping this isn't a bad sign, but I understand people get busy sometime.

I'll update this thread with more information when the quad gets here. He said I should have it by Wednesday. That would be awesome! My daughter is pretty excited to be getting another new toy.

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on the new quad! If you get a chance, please post some photos after it arrives.

Tim at Vbike gets consistently good reviews as a vendor. He will probably call you very soon.

The good reviews I have read here and else where are the reason I decided on the vbike. The cost wasn't that much different and I hope the quality will be about the same. It isn't like my daughter is going to be pulling knack knacks on this thing anyway.

I would call him. Dont be nasty, but if he said he would call, and didnt then I would call.

Good luck with the quad. I am next up for a Utility too I think. I am waiting to see how a few others on here turn out with theirs.

Ditto! I love my v4sw- but a ute would be much more practical for me, as with the v4sw's meager fenders...the cow crap goes flying!(and ends up all over me and the bike).

Spoke with Tim today. The shipment went out late yesterday so he didn't have time to call. I have a tracking number and it is en route.
So far kudos to the vbike customer service!

Thank you for the report on good customer service. I am always pleased to hear when a vendor treats his customers properly.

Well the quad arrived today. and the shipping carton looked like it had been through a tornado. No major damage to report with the exception of a few scratches on the rack and tire marks all over the plastic. I'm going to try and get the tire marks off and see how it turns out.

I'm just about done with the assembly. Not to bad so far, but the big test is yet to come.

Does it run?

It runs. Pretty dang good to be honest. It took some work to get the carb set, but it seems to be pretty solid now.

There are a couple of issues with it, but nothing I hope that will be to major. The biggest issue and the only one I haven't been able to resolve at this point is the chain. It is TIGHT!!! The adjustment is at the end of its travel, so I'm hoping it will loosen up a bit after riding. This combined with the fact that the top bolts on the swingarm are cross threaded makes this a pretty ugly situation.

The toe-in was way off on the left side. It's better. but it still feels a little darty to me. I'll keep working on that issue, but it's tolerable at this point. Anyone know what the specs should be? Probably not, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I was missing a couple of bolts. Luckily I was able to dig out a couple in my trusty bolt bucket.

I will get some pictures after I clean it up and get the oil changed.

Here we go!

Shipping carton was pretty beat up.

Tire scuffs on the body.

Rack is scratched from floppy against the metal container frame. It wasn't wrapped up in anything.
Couple of hours and a tube of locktite later...

It looks like the whole thing is twisted on the frame. As if the body is mounted crooked. Notice the fresh dog poop under the left fender.

Still sporting the leftover goop from the badge.

I flushed the motor with Kerosene and put in some fresh oil. I'll let my daughter ride it for a day and then I'm going to change it and put some mobil 1 in it.

All and all I don't think it is too bad a deal. I'm a little concerned about the chain, but I'll just have to keep an eye on it.

Looking at the front tires it appears that the pressure is not equal. You may want to check that. It might help with steering response.

I think the tail light is just crooked.

But i do believe your front tires are mounted backwards (tread facing wrong way)- Switching sides will cure that.

Nice little bike!!

I did the same thing with the tires. Wont happen again.

My quad had the chain as tight as it would go too, and actually crabbed a little in the back when I drove straight. It has since stretched and is now straight. Seems the more I ride the better it gets.

Hope your daughter enjoys it. I cant wait till my boy is old enough. He lucked out with me for a Dad, cause I am a toy nut, and according to my wife, not much older than him.
