Turbo??

Hey guys, has anyone heard from TurboT lately? He used to be very active on the forums but I haven't seen him post for a while. Hoping everything is ok with him.

Hey boys.. thanks for checking up about me.

I hit a rough patch in life employment wise and it affected my interests in many things. I somewhat "hermitized" myself outside of applying for jobs and interviews as it was a challenging period of life for me.

W&g's company had an opening and he was nice enough to let me know of it and help me out with the process, and I am now gainfully employed once again.

I plan to get involved with the forums here and my Chinariders friends soon, once my head stops swelling from 'new job information'.

I hope all are well here and the projects continue!

Still have all my junk just sitting around not being used, have to change that!

I have not been to Skagit Speedway in over 10 years, so it was good to get back. My overall impression was a bit on the disappointed side, merely because of the number of cars racing. The 410 Main was only about 10 cars total and they spread out on the track for the last 15 laps or so, with no stops or much passing, so it was over really fast. The night of racing only lasted 1 1/2 hours due to the small field. I'm not sure if there was another big event in sprint cars last night or if that is a normal night for them now.

The did have a sportsman class race and also what they called "hornets," which was merely a bunch of beat up 4 banger cars and they were slow and a bit boring.

From memory, I think the only other times I've been there has been when they had a big 360 event with a large field, lots of heat races and a B and A final. It packs more racing and more cars into the field and makes it really entertaining.

With all that said, it was the first time my daughters were out to see the races and they enjoyed it, and it was "ladies night" which means them and my wife were free to get in. Cost me $13 for all four of us to go, so can't really beat that for a night of entertainment.

I will go back.

-TT
