Did you guys buy the MSR DR400-758 shifter like me on the first try? I think the right one was 756 part number. While I was waiting for them to get back in stock at amazon I bought a BBR aluminum folder. It's the same length as stock so I never used it. I have a picture from when I adjusting it. I will post the shifter for sale soon.

Yup the first one I tried was the 0758 that everyone uses for the hawk . The second one I tried was 0755 and that one the splines were correct but it was smaller than the stock one.

Thanks I love it ! I wanted a Motocross style but with a flip down sun shield and face shield so I don't need googles or my sunglasses.
this AFX-FX42DS fit the bill and I got it for $160 shipped from eBay

Nope they sent me the wrong parts and never sent me the axle bolt or gas cap

Once I contacted them about screwing up they have not been returning my calls or emails

I think I'm getting the runaround too. I'm being a pest, only because I have nothing to loose. The bike is here, and titled. But, they know me by name and I have no plans to relent!

Well I drove my bike to work 25mi each way yesterday. 50% of my commute is very rural roads and I have to say even with the LED bulb this headlight SUCKS.
The light is so scattered it does absolutely no good to illuminate anything more than 25 feet in front of the bike.

I'm trying to figure out how to retrofit a better headlight or maybe a hid housing

You can try turning the bulb holder 180 degrees. The problem isn't the bulb, it's the reflector. LED bulbs seem to work better in a traditional reflector. The older round lamp has the kind of reflector that seems to work better with an LED bulb. The kind of lamp that takes a seperate high intensity bulb...ARH

Yes the problem is the reflector/housing I never tried the stock bulb but I doubt it will be any better.

What I was thinking was installing a hid projector housing with a led bulb into the stock reflector housing. Back in the day I did this with a car I installed HID projectors into a stock incandescent housing

Be sure to try this as they have a up and down side. Mine does the same thing upside down.

That was the first thing I tried . When you have it in the wrong way the low beam shoots way up in the air instead of straight ahead
