new front rubber for the Zong

finally the brutal canadian weather let up long enough for the truck to get my tires to me

these should make a huge difference in the steering and cornering of the Zong

That looks like a nice tire. Similar to what the buggy has.

I'm guessing that the truck came from the Prairies. There is no brutal weather around here lately.

Cool tires. Are you gonna have Gnarly install them?

ya one tire had to come from Calgary...so was delayed a bit by avalanches.

When I had my 250cc ATV, the most fun was riding it in powdery snow. Those tires would have worked great for that. Enjoy!

BTW Ron and I tried mounting ATV tires. It's possible but a monumental PIA. Not recommended.

It's actually not that hard. This is part 1 of a video I shot of my buddy Luke from Fountain Tire, as he installed tubes in Jim's quad (filmed in Jim's Dad's shop). My battery died before we got to the end of part 2, so it isn't posted.

The funny thing is, Jim eventually sold the quad to Luke's Father in Law (a buddy of mine from Church), so Luke now rides that quad whenever he wishes.

I have a manual tire changer and have done it. Perry doesn't charge much though.

That's a great video. I'm sorry your battery died while recording the video; I wanted to see more.

You can change those ATV tires on a tire changing stand with tire spoons, in much the same manner as you change a motorcycle tire. Most tire changing stands come with a smaller adapter ring for ATV tires, et cetera.

well the new rubber proved themselves last time we went out ...was so nice to have traction in the front for steering.
